As an Account Manager/ Automation & Liquid Handling Sales Specialist at Waters, your responsibilities include driving sales of the award-winning Andrew+ pipetting robot and growing awareness of the Waters Automation portfolio in your assigned geography. As part of this, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that drives growth of our full range of automation products and services. In addition to having a proven track record in sales, the desired candidate should be driven, dynamic, a fast learner, an avid networker, and a solid communicator. The ideal candidate will need to be capable of thinking strategically and executing the tactical implementation of programs.
Education:• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in life sciences or chemistry)• Strong knowledge of life sciences research space
Experience:• Proven ability to prospect and negotiate to successfully close sales• Technical knowledge and practical solution selling experience, ideally an understanding of liquid handling and/or automation systems within the laboratory environment• Experience in selling into the laboratory environment
Skills:• Highly passionate and energetic individual with charisma, perseverance, and determination• Effectively work in competitive sales situations• Customer-focused with excellent listening and discovery skills• Ability to maximize product visibility and raise awareness through in-person events and digital exposure (through webinars, LinkedIn, etc.)• Entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on attitude• Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex technical concepts• Good interpersonal skills and ability to contribute as part of an integrated sales/service organization• Solid organizational skills and ability to set priorities/manage time effectively• Fluency in English in speaking and writing is a must; any additional language skill is a plus
