About The Team
West Monroe’s Corporate Development team is responsible for acquisition and integration of acquired companies. This role is responsible for WMP’s internal M&A activities including generating, managing, and executing mergers and acquisitions, minority investments, and strategic partnerships. Given the multi-dimensional nature of acquisitions, an ideal candidate will be strategic, driven, analytical, enjoys working cross functionally and thrives in a fast pace and dynamic environment. This professional will be a key business partner and will be highly visible at the most senior levels of the organization. West Monroe is looking for a candidate with 10+ years of transaction experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting or other transaction-related experiences. Your work will have a direct impact on the firm's strategic direction, top-line growth and profitability.
In this position you will:
Monitor M&A landscape and key corporate announcements to develop view on key industry activities and overall market trends.
Identify appropriate acquisition opportunities that support WMP’s strategic priorities through interaction with senior business leaders, investment bankers, and organic pipeline generation.
Evaluate benefits of potential acquisitions and drive process of building both internal and external consensus.
Drive all aspects of the M&A process, including market research, sourcing/pipeline development, business case development, strategic/financial analysis, valuation, and diligence, negotiation, and contracting.
Quantify synergies and define steps to achieve and identify risks and determine mitigation strategies.
Lead multiple acquisition opportunities simultaneously.
Manage multiple workstreams in due diligence, pre-close planning, and close activities.
Responsible for building investment thesis, business case and acquisition approval presentations to senior leaders and board of directors
Establish the ongoing processes improvements, skill sets, and review methodology to improve and enhance our corporate development competency.
Coach, guide and develop junior members on the team.
