Role: Infrastructure Engineer

Skills & Responsibilities:

• Execution of specific areas of responsibility/deliverables with minimal supervision

• Serving as a functional expert for a program or a defined set of programs. Applies knowledge of the enterprise, business system and industry to the project team, supporting or interfacing with their program/project or defined set of projects/programs.  

• Responsible for the logical configuration of network equipment (both Customer Premise and Network) via thorough routing concepts skill set including Cisco, Juniper, and Genesis platforms. • Ensures configurations meet customer expectations as well as industry and product standards. Responsible for accurate back-office system data record management.

• Supports customer activations and is responsible for configuration adjustments as required for management acceptance testing

• The primary function of the Infrastructure Engineer is to ensure efficient, strategic use of core platforms, services, and technologies which provide foundational technical services to the business as offered by Credit Union’s Technology Solutions organization. This role provides analysis, development, and operational support of servers, storage, virtualization, and networking solutions, including defining, analyzing, creating, and supporting new services or solutions, modification and development of new functionality (either as enhancements or as green-field development within an infrastructure ecosystem), system integration, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and operational oversight of assigned solutions and services, independently or in cooperation with other technology teams, to advance business objectives.

• Technical Skills:

• Expert knowledge in routing and switching.

• Server Operating systems including its roles and features.

• Win2K8, Win2K12 R2, Windows 2016 & 2019

• Server Hardware

• DELL, HP & IBM servers (Tower, Rack servers)

• Virtualization technologies

• Server monitoring tools:

• SOLARWINDs

• Cloud Technologies

• Azure

• Troubleshooting

• Performance Issue

• Active directory
