    Position summary

    This leadership opportunity is within the Healthcare and Medical Devices (HMD) – Domain & Consulting Unit of Wipro. The Unit focuses on 3 areas globally – Healthcare Payers & Providers and  Medical Device Companies– with the purpose of helping their clients achieve real business improvements and value. The unit is accountable for consultative industry domain led expertise and thought leadership to define, design and deliver business outcomes to our clients and help elevate the impact.

    You will head & own business reporting to Global Head for HMD Domain & Consulting. It requires you to provide strategic leadership & direction to the payer and provider (domain-related) consulting team in terms of domain capability build, thought leadership and people competency. You will be responsible for formulating, articulating, and executing the consulting strategy – as it to be the natural choice for clients in the upstream consulting space while ensuring subsequent downstream technology opportunities. You will also be responsible for pursuit strategy of domain solutions.

    • Growth & Margins: Define/Refine and execute a sound business growth strategy built on domain & related technology consulting strengths. Focus on growing the practice’s competency with unit strength with higher billing rates and margins. Help in creating new business opportunities & New business wins (revenue and bookings)

    • Execution & Delivery: Sell and lead delivery of process & domain consulting projects while building a larger ecosystem to scale and transition out as appropriate.

    • Practice Management: Manage and leverage a diverse team of geographically distributed domain consulting professionals across different experience levels, including their goals & objectives, mentoring, career planning etc. Ensures overall utilization targets for the domain are met, and premium billing rates realized for the domain experts. Builds a team of thought leaders who can develop & deliver solutions that can be taken to market. Involved in recruiting strategic hires and developing a long term recruiting and retention plan with HR and senior management.

    • Solutions: Identifying & Defining differentiated services and solutions for Life Sciences organization, in line with Wipro's strength in technology delivery. Looks for new areas of growth, develop related value propositions and build capability through resource mobilization.

    • Thought Leadership: Be Wipro's voice and a recognized thought leader for Payer and Provider capabilities across industry forums, partner events and customer interlocks. Publish, speak and mentor on a range of forward-looking topics around the key growth areas in Payer and Provider technology services.

    • Branding: Creating a strong Wipro Market Positioning - increasing Wipro's mindshare in the Payer and Provider ecosystem (product companies, analysts and influencers). Presents POV; white papers etc. at strategic industry and analyst conferences.

    • Build the practice for Intelligent business reimagination within the region for Digital Consulting including business development and delivery responsibility.

    • To develop, mentor and guide the other team members for their professional growth and careers.

    • Delivery Capabilities
      Delivery and program expertise with experience in handling multi shore consulting projects with distributed teams

    • 15-25 years or more of industry and/or management consulting experience across the domain spectrum including strategy building and implementation.

    • Managed practices in a prior role, from a people, financial, customer management and solutions point of view.

    • Experience or strong exposure to software lifecycles including defining downstream from a consulting engagement. Proven experience in solution building, presales, Global Sales

    • Ownership in Solution incubation and IP-creation

    • A good mix of experience working in operations and enterprise processes of a technology company

    • Experience in consultative selling and creating client business case for value-based pitches

    • Extensive experience in Business Transformation, Strategy Formulation, Risk and Compliance Management for the given industry

    • Played advisory roles for different client set ups and assignments covering areas of Business Process Analysis & Engineering, Program Management, Solution Architecture & Technology.

    • Proven experience in building teams from scratch and building domain capability in previous roles
