US Insurance Domain Leader

This opportunity is within the Banking, Financial services and Insurance industry vertical of Wipro’s Domain & Consulting unit.  This is a US-based regional position to lead the growth charter for Insurance consulting business. The role will require building on existing capabilities to deliver significant growth and scale. The role holder is expected to influence the portfolio of services, strategic accounts and C-level relationship, thereby enabling growth of the consulting business and Wipro’s wider services business in Insurance.  The role holder will also be a key partner in driving business strategy of the US Insurance business.  

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities will include:

• Growth: Defining a sound business growth strategy. Focus on significantly growing the consulting business’s overall contribution to Wipro’s North America Insurance business with higher billing rates and margins. Ensure the consulting business opens new business opportunities and enhances Wipro’s client positioning
• Solutions: Identifying & defining differentiated services and solutions for Insurance clients across P&C and L&A sub-segments
• Practice Management: Manage a diverse team of geographically distributed consulting professionals across different experience levels, including their goals & objectives, mentoring, career planning etc.  
• Competency: Defining & supporting a strong competency/capability-building strategy

Partnerships: Working with global leadership team and Alliance team to nurture partner ecosystem in focus areas to enhance market positioning and commercial footprint in Wipro’s package-enabled business

• Branding: Working with global leadership team and Marketing team to enhance Wipro’s brand positioning - increasing Wipro’s mindshare in the Insurance industry ecosystem (product companies, analysts and influencers)

• Qualifications Required

  • Experience of leading a fast growing consulting business
  • Relevant experience working as an SME in the Insurance capability within in a consulting organization that would position you in a leadership position
  • Ownership in Solution incubation and IP-creation
  • Strong knowledge of and networks within the North America insurance market
  • Experience in consultative selling and creating client business case for value-based pitches
