    Position summary

    Space Planner/CAD Technician

    Location:            HQ: Stamford - Connecticut

    Department:     Facilities

    The Space Planner and CAD Technician is responsible for managing our building floor plans end-to-end. This includes creating and editing CAD drawings, assisting with moves/adds/changes to seat allocations, and maintaining all related databases and software systems.  

    Candidates must have a strong work ethic, balancing strategic thinking and analytical skills with results orientation and excellent problem-solving skills in a highly energetic and fast paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manages desk and office allocations, and utility locations on floor plans in Workplace software
    • Primary point of contact for any changes in seat assignments
    • Tracks, monitors and oversees all non-project related moves, planning and inventory of furniture and workstations
    • Coordinates planning for non-project related moves, adds, and/or changes
    • Serves as a primary interface and point of contact with Facilities team for all non-project space related inquiries
    • Provides metrics, and analyzes data related to facility requirements and physical space needs
    • Maintains database building and floor plans
    • Create and update CAD drawings
    • Participates in meetings and discussions about space requirements
    • Creates dashboards and reports as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Associates degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or similar
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with space planning and space management
    • Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD
    • Strong proficiency with productivity software, such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
    • Experience with Workplace software, such as Officespace
    • Good communication skills
    • Good analytical skills
    • Attention to detail
