Assignment may include any or all: inspect all incoming materials shipments, all internally manufactured components such as extruded or molded parts, all in process assemblies, all packaging operations, sterilized and non-sterile finished products. Properly fill out all documents and file same properly. Maintain compliance to QSR/ISO/MDD regulations. Act as a backup to other Q.A. Technician assignments. Assist Q.A. management as needed with routing test reports and special projects. Act as the department representative in the absence of Q.A. supervision. Provide general support to Q.A. management and technicians.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Perform duties of Q.A. Technicians.
Act as backup for absent Q.A. Technicians
Support and advise Q.A. Technicians on quality issues as requested by Q.A. management as required.
Review daily Q.A. test reports for accuracy and completeness as assigned by Q.A. management as required.
Participate as the Q.A. representative to meeting and or committees as required.
Perform special testing as required.
Assist with internal audits as required
Assist in training Q.A. Technicians as required.
Perform other duties as assigned as required.

Expected Areas of Competence

 Must be capable of making quick informed decisions to resolve quality issues and avoid production delays
 Must be able to interpret test and inspection results and reach conclusions that assure requirements are met.
 Cognitive skills will be needed to complete special project assignments.
 Must be able to use statistical analysis and sampling techniques effectively.
 Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
 Must demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, planning and organizational skills, leadership ability.

Education/Experience Requirements

 Minimum two years college training in Sciences or equivalent plus two years Quality Assurance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 Ability to perform Q.A. Technicians’ duties for all technician assignments is a prerequisite. ASQC certification as a Quality Technician (CQT) or Quality Engineer (CQE) is desirable.
