Senior Finance Analyst

Seeking to hire a Senior Finance Associate within Controllership Team. The Controllership Team is a dynamic, hardworking and collaborative team responsible for managing the accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions within ZS.

Controllership is expected to bring logic, expertise, discipline, and a controls mindset to our business stakeholders, both internally and externally. Internal stakeholders include senior leadership, client teams and other enterprise groups, and external stakeholders include our network of lenders, audit, and tax professionals.

Candidate must possess a strong accounting background, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to understand and add value to ZS's business. Ability to flex/multitask, critically evaluate processes and collaborate are additional prerequisites. Geographically, our team is located in Evanston and Pune, India.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Controllership team members to ensure a high quality of accounting output for quarterly financial statements and monthly management reports for use by internal stakeholders, which include departmental heads and senior business leaders.
• Collaborate with functional leads and other Controllership members in the implementation and adherence to global accounting processes.
• Provide assurance to support the accuracy and completeness of our results in accordance with global directives, internal policies and US GAAP, as applicable.
• Lead technical accounting research and process development for new accounting requirements.
• Manage the annual financial statement audit process.
• Support the Controllership team's management of ZS's acquisition strategy, including acquisition accounting and process integration.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to support ZS's global income tax strategy and achieve ZS leadership's objectives.
• Maintain and improve existing finance processes, and design and implement new processes as needed. Research business needs and collaborate with function leads to convert compliance requirements into process-based solutions which are successfully realized with the system and resources available. Understand business processes and anticipate areas for adding value to the services the Finance team provides the organization.
• Supervise and mentor junior controllership team members. Actively participate in the development of controllership team members, provide coaching and assist in elevating the capabilities of direct reports.
• Lead and participate in other special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting, or related area, with strong academic credentials
• 2-5 years of relevant experience, either in a public accounting firm or for-profit business

ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
