Legal and Commercial Services professionals deliver and coordinate legal, contract and commercial advice and counsel in support of Accenture's or our clients' business, working to manage and mitigate risk and ensure ethical behavior and compliance with laws and company policies.

Job Description

The legal professional in this position (“Alliances Counsel”) will support matters within the scope of the Global Alliances and Technology Ecosystem (“GATE”) legal team, which includes Alliances and Alliance Platforms, Technology Fulfillment (a.k.a. Resale), and Strategic Sourcing.  The Alliances Counsel will draft and negotiate various GATE-related agreements, and interact with business management on a regular basis.  The Alliance Counsel will become a subject matter expert in regard to GATE matters and advise various business groups and other legal professionals accordingly.  Positivity, collaboration and creative thinking will be keys to success for the candidate assuming this role. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and negotiate various agreements, including master alliance agreements, master resale agreements, software licenses (demonstration and training), teaming agreements, master subcontracts, sponsorship agreements, and various other documents;
  • Provide general legal support to the Technology Ecosystem and Platforms business group;
  • Coordinate with fellow members of the GATE legal team;
  • Support and provide subject matter guidance to Operating Groups, Growth Platforms and other legal teams in regard to alliance and teaming relationships and relevant issues and terms;
  • Assist and coordinate with legal professionals on other teams (e.g. Contracting, Growth Platforms) in connection with teaming agreements, subcontracts and other GATE-related arrangements;
  • Aid in the development of training and knowledge transfer tools and materials;
  • Mentor and help train junior members of the team, including LGSC team members;
  • Support the firm’s compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations;


Basic Qualifications
  • Law degree and current law license
  • 3 - 5 years experience with Alliances and strategic arrangements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong writing and negotiation skills
  • Sound understanding of intellectual property rights and obligations and the ability to competently draft and negotiate intellectual property provisions;
  • Experience drafting and negotiating inbound and outbound software and hardware licenses
  • Deep experience with, and understanding of, key contract provisions such as representations, warranties, indemnities (including IP infringement) and limits on liability.

Role Requirements:
  • Some travel required.
