Dow Jones is a global provider of news and business information, delivering content to consumers and organizations around the world across multiple formats, including print, digital, mobile and live events. Dow Jones has produced unrivaled quality content for more than 125 years and today has one of the world’s largest news gathering operations globally. It produces leading publications and products including the flagship Wall Street Journal, America’s largest newspaper by paid circulation; Factiva, Barron’s, MarketWatch, Financial News, DJX, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance, Dow Jones Newswires, and Dow Jones VentureSource.
Uncover and nurture strong sales relationships in the corporate market. In your assigned sales territory, you will visit and call on a set of large and strategic corporations to foster Wall Street Journal and Barron’s usage among Fortune 1000 companies. This essential role not only contributes valuable circulation and revenue in the short run, but it also enhances future Dow Jones subscribers.
The sales representative will regularly visit, place outbound calls, email and provide customer service to his/her assigned companies, unearthing sales opportunities and making product presentations. C-level executives, procurement, strategic sourcing, librarians and administrators are the primary audience, and the sales representative will focus on understanding their objectives, offering solutions that integrate Dow Jones news products, and facilitating the process by which their employees benefit from the content. This work will involve both retention of an existing book of business, and important prospecting to increase our sales.
Additionally, the sales representative will make engaging presentations to clients about the benefits and features of our products, demonstrating print and digital formats and explaining the value to their employees. Also, the sales representative will seek and close corporate deals that involve cultivating relationships with high-level administrators, building consensus among decision-making committees, and communicating with customer service colleagues to ensure smooth implementation. Throughout all of these activities, keeping Salesforce.com updated is essential.
Finally, the sales representative will be responsible for providing feedback regularly and participating in special projects as needed.
