The best opportunities will be given to men because they have families to support. I was told that verbatim by my sales manager.

Fantastic workplace culture and positive atmosphere. As a woman you are encouraged to succeed and given many resources to achieve your goals. Little in way of obstacles and not male dominated field.

It's a great place for women - I would say about 70% of the office I work in is actually women, and most of the leadership roles are filled by women. We do have a nice maternity leave policy which is great.

Depends on your manager honestly - some allow more flexibility than others.
  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. I am treated fair & well, but have heard RUMORS of male managers not treating women fairly. Fully rumors, I have had a great experience thus far.

  • One Thing Employer Could Improve

Not much; it's a great place to work

Jeanswear and Corporate are in the midst of a transition I believe. There are many people who have been at the company for years and are waiting out their time until they can claim their pension. There is a family type atmosphere because so many people have been at the company for so long. There is currently no parental leave policy in place and very few women in senior management. Lots of traditional attitudes and lots of older white men are in charge. Other VF coalitions and brands may have different atmospheres.

The company (Jeanswear coalition and corporate) is sometimes flexible on a case by case basis but much more needs to be done. There are currently no allowances for working remotely, compressed work hours, or flexible work arrangements.

Great culture, people help each other out no matter where you are in the world. Using Cisco's own video technology to provide optimal collaboration tools and flexible working is embedded in the culture. Values family life.
