It's a great place to be a woman - I feel very supported (perhaps even sometimes more than my male peers!) and valued.

In addition to formal flexible policies, BCG is always willing to work out a structure that works for the individual - you just have to ask and put in the effort to make it work!

The nature of the job is inherently difficult, and there is still a long way to go, but they have made a lot of progress and the commitment is genuine.

BCG is an exceptional place to work as a woman. The firm places a significant value on diversity and inclusion, which is reflected in the resources which support women at BCG across career development, trainings, maternity leave policies, etc. This is not to say BCG is perfect - historically consulting has been male-dominated and that doesn't change overnight - but the firm has made a lot of progress and continues to focus on this topic as a key driver of overall firm success. I feel highly valued and supported as a woman at BCG.

BCG recently extended maternity leave to 16 weeks, paid, and you can additional time unpaid. Paternity leave is 8 weeks, paid.

This job is highly flexible, which is one of the primary reasons I stay at BCG as a working mom with small children. People care if you get the work done, not about face-time in the office. I regularly time-shift to be able to attend to family obligatio

Maybe. In a variety of roles there are great opportunities for women, however a lot of networking is still based on old paradigms which make it challenging for women with families or skills outside of work.

I have been at Bessemer for 16 years. It is a wealth management company that focuses on clients as their top priority. While the company expect excellence from everyone at the firm, there is a strong emphasis on balance. Teamwork and collaboration are key to getting the best results for the client. There is a very generous vacation benefit and the company expects everyone to use it. The Chicago office has a high percentage of women in leadership positions.
