Though the company is dominantly male in some departments, I've had no issues with discrimination. I work with an international team, so the early morning and late night calls can be tough for moms. But I also have the flexibility to leave early or go in late because I don't have a traditional 9-5. I wish the maternity leave was a little more progressive, but it is improving. The nursing rooms aren't so convenient, but my admin was nice enough to put a lock on one of our team rooms so I can easily get away to pump. In general, my management team is very supportive and there are lots of opportunities at HP. My only complaint is that it's hard to get big salary increases without leaving the company and coming back. Bonuses are very dependent on the company's and your team's financial performance - I've gotten as low as 5% of my salary and as much as 25%.

    10 paid / unpaid

I took 8 weeks of maternity leave + 2 weeks of vacation. I believe the policy has since increased to 10 weeks of paid plus whatever vacation time you may have.

Everything mentioned in question 6. Our culture is the best thing about where we work. Very laid back atmosphere, yet everyone is passionate about what we do and works hard. No one blinks an eye when a parent needs to shift their schedule for their children

    12 paid / unpaid

The pay is at 60% for the full 12 weeks (short-term disability that the company provides without employees having to elect or contribute toward T to be eligible). I would like to see this at 100% pay, but am pleased we at least get this much.

Adobe is a typical male-dominated tech company environment/ boys club. There are 14K employees and 30% are women. I see no women with children in the senior leadership. The macho all-in work culture exists and I see no part-time or flexible work options(like job shares). Employees can work from home if they arrange it with their manager but I see this as table stakes. Each employee seems to be weighed down with a lot of work. As a product marketing manager I work almost every evening and sacrifice a lot of important time with my children to stay afloat at Adobe.

Women are treated equally and there are lots fo women in leadership positions...in marketing. In sales, not so much. It's still totally a boys club in Sales, even more so than in engineering.

I worked here for 1.5 years and have liked the work for the most part. The people are very friendly and the executive team seems committed to promoting women - although there aren't yet enough of us in senior positions. I haven't had children yet so I can't speak to that but the company has good work/ life balance.
