Family Friendly Company with great perks. Everyone works hard but you definitely have to be a squeaky wheel or boast about your accomplishments to be seen.

Maybe. Overall a good company with flex hours and good pay. Top leadership is a boys club where everyone went to college together. I had 2 male colleagues that were there less time and got paid more- they always asked for raises and received them. When I asked, I was told it was not time for pay bumps.

  • One Thing Employer Could Improve

Constant layoffs. Most people fear they won't be around for long.

-Good company to be a woman at -Many women in management, in fact, women dominate middle management, however, there are more men in the highest tier.

This has been a great company to work for. There are as many women in management as there are men in my segment. The maternity benefits are top notch as are the other benefits. Women are encouraged to take advantage of the work life balance they encourage and from what I have seen it doesn't impact career trajectory.

If you are outside of California the benefits follow the state - generally 6 weeks of paid maternity or 8 or 9 if c-section. The pay is good but there is ZERO coverage while you are out. On maternity leave I felt grateful for my being home. When I game back the following 9 months were the worst of my career. I had the same goal for four quarters though I had been out and no one had even made a call on my behalf. Also HR gave me incorrect information and messed up my pay. It was as if there were no women on maternity leave ever so they did not know any better. It's a male heavy company especially in sales. I enjoyed the products I sold very much there but I left because the year after maternity I felt pushed me to the edge.

The company was set up to support people out in that there are multiple people involved in a book of business. If someone is out things don't fall apart completely. The company is generally staffed appropriately. There is a lot to know and to learn and it's always pretty crazy but the people are nice and smart but not too smart... they also like to get things done and grab a beer once in a while. It was one of the happiest times of my life working at AOL.
