In order to be successful at this organization, you must be willing to stand up to your superiors and state what work-life fit expectations you have. Then you must actually stay firm or you will be expected to work while on vacation, at all hours of the night, and reschedule personal commitments.

    Maybe. The work life balance is sometimes difficult. Most of the upper level individuals in my group are men, with stay at home wives taking care of their personal responsibilities, allowing them to stay at work later and later.

The firm is extremely flexible. If you have to leave to run to an appointment or work from home, it is perfectly acceptable. However, the hours can be very high during peak tax season.

    20 paid / unpaid

    Between short term disability covered by the firm and paid maternity leave, most people take up to 6 months off. PTO can be taken in addition to the paid weeks and in California, state maternity leave can be taken on top of that. When returning to work, a reduced schedule is offered for a year (with a corresponding salary percentage).
