A great place to work, interesting, smart people, passionate, sincerely people oriented - in a few LOBs only. right LOB you'll love it. wrong LOB, you'll be miserable

awesome in some LOBs, awful in others. no consistently - all dependent on the LOB leader
  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. depends on LOB. my current LOB is fabulous - unique culture, and interestingly the only one run largely by women. therefore my high satisfaction. in prior LOB I was planning my exit...

  • One Thing Employer Could Improve

Promote more women into leadership positions

Depends on the department spnits very important to understand culture before accepting a position. You also need to be comfortable with change because more than likely your position will change in 6-12 months

Your manager matters greatly in your experience. And once you have children, you will be on the mommy track. Lots of lip service to diversity and work life integration (buzz word there) but women leave in droves.

Maybe. In the financial industry you want a big bank on your resume, so I think it's worth doing a stint here but I wouldn't make my career here.

This company touts it's love for women and respect for them... but it is shocking how poorly women are treated. Granted, most employees at this place are treated terribly, but women even more so. All male leaders top women in terms of compensation and there are no longer any executives other than the couple that founded this company... they lay off people left and right becuase they are spending recklessly. It's a scary time for them and I hope for the employees sake that they find their way.

They need to restructure from the top down. The leadership consists of a married couple who laid off all upper level employees (including 3 chief officers and multiple vice presidents) making the couple the only two people that manage the staff and finances. They are almost never in the office and they are not accessible to employees. It's a terrifying company that I plan on leaving as soon as possible.

I work in a male-dominated area that does not recognize nor appreciate that women act and think differently. Despite studies that have shown that women are good investors and may even be superior to men, women's opinions are given short-thrift. Too many senior men have stay-at-home wives and I think that this colors their perception of women who work.

Great NGO run by a majority of women in senior management positions. C suite are all women who have done great things with the mission of the organization and for the staff. Women are promoted to all levels of the organization.
