This company stands for great things. It has a mission that is easy to fall in love with. The culture that the company is aiming for is rarely attainable under such high stress conditions. Especially with little support from management and drastic cuts in labor.

The majority of store managers are women. Individual stores have quite a bit of room for flexibility. Room for growth above that is not great. Most executives it off the home office are men.

If you want to be promoted you have to get to know a lot of other people in your market area.

There is some flexibilty in the schedule, but District and Area Managers have a lot of influence over how much and how it works.

The benefits offered by the company are extraordinary. It can be difficult to be a working parent at one of these stores, and I have found that the schedules are not conducive to managing a household with kids. However, to be able to get health insurance, school assistance, and even food and beverage benefits at a non-executive job is pretty unusual.

Flexibility probably varies greatly based upon job locations and roles.

Maybe. It all depends upon the location and job type. I loved the company, but had some issues with management in my specific district.

You have to force their hand if you want to be promoted. You basically have to work 20 times harder and still get passed over about 2 or 3 times and then pressure them to promote you.

It's only meant to be a part time gig. Don't spend as much time there as I did.
