Save as much of your salary as you can because if your contract is cancelled, for any reason, you are cut off by the end of the working day. There is no obligation to try to help you obtain a new position unless it is to their benefit. It is especially difficult if you are older, as most of these positions require years of experience, you could not be contracted again.

Have a way to protect your people a bit more within the contract. It should not be so easy to cancel a person's livelihood.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. ExecuPharm is a placement service. We are just a product to sell to companies. I was contracted to Merck. I loved the work, but as a contractor, there was no loyalty, no compassion. I was a product. What was worse, was that as a QA professional, when I offered concern that they were going outside of regulatory compliance, I was berated and removed. There was no support. I do not believe it would be much better with other contracting services. They were nice and perhaps in another position it would work better, but it is always difficult with a QA background.

Do not expect to climb the corporate ladder. There are few senior women.

A lot of travel is expected for in person meetings. Use of remote meeting technology would be better more often.
