You better have a THICK skin and the ability to bite your lip when being yelled at. She will try to embarrass you in front of other employees and your team, so do know that going into this position. For me, it wasn't worth the emotional bullying.

Level of Flexibility1 2 3 4 5This manager will break HR policies and leave whenever she wants. She absolutely knows how to assign work but is not supportive when it comes to allocating fair deadlines or viewing workload as reasonable. This could be accomplished if she wasn't busy taking so much personal time out of the office. She is late for meetings constantly because of teeth cleanings or just simply not respecting your time.

One female manager is a bully and manages through fear and intimidation tactics. She relishes in the opportunity to belittle and chastise.

Maybe. I would not recommend a strong, confident woman to work in the Marketing department, as the AVP does not accept disagreement or opposition of any kind - even if the company could benefit from your feedback.
