IBM’s culture supports women and all diversity as part of its DNA. I’ve raised three children as a single mother and made it to executive. Never have I felt blocked from advancement

Being based in certain offices or working in certain industries can mean travel is more common (that is the nature of industries- not BCG's fault) - I would strongly suggest that if a consultant would find travel difficult to sustain to look to specialising in topics / industries that are more Local.

Have confidence to ask for what you need. If you cannot settle on an immediate solution with your manager, be patient and try again. Change will be imminent in the future across all offices.

I am an owner and single mother hence it's imperative to offer my group the same flexibility once an employee is established. But we are also tax accountants so flexibility is tough to offer/receive during tax season.

Effective Communication across offices resulting in an increase of efficiencies, additional services and products, and advanced human capital management. All actions simultaneously would increase revenues.

This is one of the few tech companies where you are not going to come across a male-dominated culture. IBM rewards for performance - not gender. When I am up for promotion, I know I have a fair shot and when I get a promotion, I know it is based on my track record and my potential.

The only barrier to a 5 rating for my employer is that we are in the consulting services business so our clients remove a portion of flexibility. However, IBM does everything it can to give flexibility to its employees.

There are a lot of opportunities for women to advance..but we are still a minority in most meetings where there are senior leaders...I do believe IBM is committed to change that.
