Manage your expectations. Feel lucky to even have a job or be judged ungrateful.

I worked here for a little over a year. Women make up the majority of the non-academic staff and the discrepancy in pay between the two groups is thoroughly demoralizing and increasing every year. There's a gender and class issue that makes this place absolutely depressing.

Great company, really cares about your physical as well as your mental health (it was okay to take a "mental health day"). A lot of natural sunlight in a LEED certified building, ergonomic workstations, and generous benefits. Cons, not a lot of female leadership at the top and the ability to climb the ranks internally were terrible (they ended up doing a lot of outside hires instead of hiring from within). In other words, their career ladders and career development was not great at all.
