It's progressive compared to the norm, but I believe they can do more in terms of compensation and hiring more female senior managers.

Obviously I wish it were longer, but they add in an extra two weeks of "parental leave" on top of the disability leave. That helped.

Opportunities for women, some departments and locations support "family first" more so than others.

I have seen women leaders succeed and be promoted in recent years, which is empowering and hope it continues.

Great flexibility, however when you do take time off there is an underlying expectation to be readily accessible.
  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

    6 paid / unpaid

This was the only amt given 7 and 9yrs ago and couldn't afford to take additional 6 weeks unpaid, things have since changed which is great for new moms. I even did some work during my maternity leave to keep up and was asked to do some work and attend meeting before 6 weeks of first child, regret not pushing back and glad to see policies have since changed.

It's a boys club. They protect and promote one another first. Occasionally, you will be promoted but its not without a lot of blood sweat and tears.

The work life balance is great - very flexible but the maternity leave policy has significant room for improvement as it is only FMLA short term disability.
