Are you shuffling through the motions of your job? Or making meaningful strides in pursuit of a career path that moves you?

Life is busy, and so many of our days are spent putting out the nearest fire instead of reflecting on what direction we’re heading and how fulfilled it’ll make us. When’s the last time you felt truly, totally connected to what shape your professional life is taking? If it feels like it’s been ages since you’ve had a career “aha!” moment — or maybe you’ve yet to have one — it might be time to dedicate some TLC to your career.

To that end, our friends at the Red Shoe Movement are hosting their 8th annual Red Shoe Movement Signature Event on Tuesday Nov. 12th in New York City. As a women’s leadership development organization with a multicultural focus, they’re dedicated to ensuring all women have the tools, resources and shared support they need to craft a career that fulfills them. Their annual event, which is frequently described by attendees as “transformational,” is designed to promote career advancement with intention in a few key ways:

  • Giving you a 20/20 vision of your “blind spots”

  • Lessons on saying “no” and negotiating

  • Building resilience into your leadership style

  • Identifying and honing your brand (which already exists)

  • Navigating volatile environments

  • Standing on your power to influence

  • And, ultimately, finding your purpose.

Attendees of this year’s Red Shoe Movement Signature Event will have the added benefit of getting to learn from keynote interviewees Sylvia Acevedo, CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA, and Cynthia Hudson, SVP and General Manager at CNN en Español, two of RSM’s 2019 Hall of Fame honorees. There will be plenty of opportunities for peer-to-peer learning throughout the day, too, as mutual mentorship is a major tenet of the organization.

Ninety-five percent of past participants say they’ve experienced an “aha!” moment at one of these events. If that kind of energy is lacking from the day-to-day of your job, snag a ticket now!

Use the code “rsmse2019nyc” to get $50 off your ticket price.
