While most of what’s (constantly) televised about the Kardashians is far from reality, Khloe recently got real about her struggles co-parenting with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson — and how she’s putting daughter True first despite the hurt.

In case you didn’t see the news coverage, Thompson was rumored to have kissed long-time Kardashian friend Jordyn Woods at a party earlier this year. He had previously been accused of cheating in a nightclub just days before Khloe gave birth to True. For the Kardashian family, the Woods incident was the last straw. Woods was banished from their circle and Thompson was treated with extreme suspicion and disgust. That is, until Khloe stepped in.

True’s first birthday party was only a few weeks after the scandal, and Kardashian said that despite her pain being “really raw and fresh,” she invited Thompson to the party and asked her family to make it a comfortable experience for him.

“I always wanted that to be obviously a mommy and daddy thing... I knew in my family it was going to be a lot of high tension, but I still wanted to do what was best for True.”

According to Cosmopolitan, she reportedly “asked everyone to not make it uncomfortable for Tristan” and had “very little interaction” with him. Instead, she focused all her energy towards True and allowed Thompson to do the same.

Luckily, Khloe has had time to heal and says that she’s now “over it.” She reportedly wants everyone to move on from the scandal, meaning Thompson will likely continue to be involved in True’s big moments — whether Kris Jenner likes it or not. However, let’s be honest: Kris is probably just making a stink about it for the ratings.
