While you may think Meghan Markle is perfect — I mean, she married a prince and she’s always decked out in Givenchy — her life wasn’t always so glamorous.

In fact, according to Express, Meghan wrote about her difficult 20s on her now-deleted lifestyle blog, The Tig.

The post said: “I am 33 years old today. And I am happy. And I say that so plainly because, well…it takes time. To be happy. To figure out how to be kind to yourself. To not just choose that happiness, but to feel it… My 20s were brutal – a constant battle with myself, judging my weight, my style, my desire to be as cool/as hip/as smart/as 'whatever' as everyone else.”

Meghan also shared that she realized being herself is “enough,” and asked her readers to find their own happiness within themselves.

This serves as a pretty clear message that yeah, if your 20s are pretty rough and you feel like you’re ruining everything, you aren’t alone. One of the most fabulous women on Earth felt the same way. And more importantly, it will get better. You will get more comfortable with life. And also taxes. And also, hopefully, yourself. That one might take more time; we do live in a patriarchy, after all.

Honestly, after reading Meghan’s post, I can’t believe she didn’t become a life coach or something. I guess another dream job (*cough* Duchess of Sussex *cough*) was calling her name. And who knows? Maybe yours is, too. You’re in your 20s! You’ve got years to find it.
