Some days I go to sleep and dream that I will wake up as Meghan Markle for… obvious reasons. And while a “Freaky Friday” switch isn’t possible in this dimension, it turns out that thanks to Journalism, we can at least pretend to be Meghan Markle.
CheatSheet recently published a round-up of all the intel we have on Meghan Markle’s morning routine. Of course, it’s a bit unrealistic for the peasantry, A.K.A. those of us who don’t have personal trainers, personal chefs or the lack of existential dread that seems to come with being really rich. But, there’s some stuff in here I might seriously duplicate anyway. Let’s break it down:
According to CheatSheet, the duchess is a self-proclaimed morning person who likes to get ahead of her packed schedule. She reportedly wakes up at 4:30 A.M. and gets started with a yoga class — she loves hot yoga and private practice.
The duchess reportedly doesn’t stop at yoga. Instead, she also incorporates other workouts into her morning routine. She apparently loves running, and has said she primarily jogs for the mental health benefits.
Markle is a self-proclaimed foodie who often eats a full breakfast. She reportedly opts for ultra-healthy options like acai bowls and oatmeal, but CheatSheet reports that her favorite “indulgence” is an omelet. The duchess skips coffee in the morning, as she tries to avoid caffeine as much as possible.
According to Markle’s late blog, The Tig, she likes to start her day off with a playlist. Her favorite morning jams? According to old public playlists, indie bands and classics like the Jackson 5.
In case you didn’t think Markle’s morning was productive enough, the duchess also reportedly begins answering email around 5:00 A.M. She also gets an early start on preparing for her public engagements — I bet her makeup takes forever.
Just reading Markle’s morning routine makes me tired, but it’s definitely worth trying if you’d like to feel royally productive. Yes, pun intended.
