Ever dreamed of retiring in the countryside with your favorite girlfriends, a few animals and a lot of floor-to-ceiling windows? Well, one group of seven best friends is living out your dreams. Sorry! What started out as a joke amongst friends turned into a serious real estate project — and the results are amazing.

According to Shanghaiist, a group of friends who've known each other for 20 years always joked that they would retire together. Then, when one of them found a 7,500 square foot house for a reasonable price, they all pulled together their money to purchase the home and turn it into a woman-friends-forever dream house. There's a ground floor full of (beautiful) communal spaces, and several floors upstairs with private living spaces.
Now, the women joke that they're all learning different living skills — like cooking and gardening — so they'll all be useful to each other and won't butt heads as they live out the rest of their lives. While several of them have their own homes (and families) for now, they're all seriously planning to move into the retirement home in the next few decades.
You can see more about the house — and the adorable friends who renovated it — here:

Guess it's time to go text my group chat and cry a little bit about the beauty of female friendship. If you need me, I'll be listening to the Dixie Chicks and taking a look at my retirement accounts; I've got a new vision and my financial planner WILL be hearing about it (so will my group chat).
