Nearly two decades ago, on August 31, 1997, Princess Diana tragically lost her life in a car accident in Paris. Since, both Prince William and Prince Harry have carried on her legacy. They've also spoken candidly about how the loss of their compassionate mother at just 15 and 12 years old has impacted their lives — and how they cope with her death — in the 2017 BBC documentary Diana.
Of course, it's been a struggle for them both. In the documentary, they explain wanting to "stand up for her name."
But standing up for Princess Diana's name is no easy feat. Not only was she royalty with a wealth of philanthropic work under her belt, but she was also a venerable mother.
Here are seven beautiful Princess Diana mom moments on which to ruminate — moments that captured her as a total rockstar of a working mom.

1. In her off time, she took family photos just like the rest of us.

In fact, the royal family took a lot of adorable family photos.

2. When she was "off duty," she spent time cuddling her kids.

3. She even cuddled them while at royal events.

This cuddle session happened on December 17, 1990, when Princess Diana and her sons Prince William and Prince Harry went to the International Horse Show in Olympia, West London.

4. She took her weekends seriously: church with the kids.

Here she's with Prince William and Prince Harry attending an Easter Sunday church service at St.Georges Chapel at the Windsor Castle on March 31, 1991.

5. She also took time off to hit the slopes once in a while.

On April 10, 1991, Princess Diana went on a skiing holiday with her kids in Lech, Austria.

6. And the amusement park...

Here, she's with her boys at Thorpe Park on March 29, 1991.

7. And she attended royal events with her boys all the time.

Here she's with Prince Harry, who is celebrating his 6th birthday and is lifting up Princess Beatrice. They are watching the Battle of Britain 50th Anniversary parade from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
