    RESPONSIBILITIES

    About the role

    The Manager of Digital Strategy and Operations is responsible for efficiently scaling digital technology and marketing capabilities and will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of our digital technology organization. This leader will be responsible for aligning and integrating resources across the organization, leading high performing teams and managing the digital organization's strategy and operational needs. They will also work closely with other department leaders, stakeholders to support critical initiatives, drive organizational Objectives and Key Results (OKR) and establish performance measures. This role involves promoting knowledge-sharing and driving practice consistency within digital initiatives. The Manager must possess strong communication skills as this position requires substantial collaboration with Executive leaders, other departments, and business partners. The Manager of Digital Strategy & Operations is responsible for directing the work of the analysts related to the coordination and facilitation of our strategy and operations within the Digital and Marketing organization. This role will also be the primary liaison between our Compliance Audit and Cybersecurity teams for regulatory and compliance, HR for all talent and growth strategy and overall strategic program support for all of the Digital and Marketing organization. The Manager will leverage and maintain relationships between Digital and other departments to create standards for our organization to ensure we are delivering the maximum value while managing risk for GM Financial.

    In this role you will:

    • Manage and lead all levels of analysts for the Digital Strategy and Operations team

    • Lead project/program lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities

    • Ability to build mutually effective partnerships with business stakeholders, IT, brand,

    • executives, vendors and other key business units to deliver coordinated and consistent experiences across products, lines of business, channels and campaigns

    • Identify issues and use sound judgment to make decisions that balance long and short term business goals and objectives

    • Translate broad strategies into specific action plans, utilizing existing resources and information to achieve strategic objectives and improve business results

    • Foster and champion an environment that promotes trust, continuous improvement, innovation, quality outcomes and self-development

    • Executes direction and implements structure to align to that of the department priorities

    • Coach, mentor and train team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, accountability and compliance of department standards

    • Manage department performance using key information, processes and systems to ensure accountability for achieving business results

    • Responsible for development of ad hoc analysis and presentations for leadership

    • Conduct discovery, define objectives and scope, document current and future-state processes, document risks and assumptions, and oversee implementation

    • Assist leadership with preparation and maintenance of detailed and comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures

    • Perform other duties as assigned, conform with all company policies and procedures

    • Support leadership, TDOC, Audit, Cyber, HR Business partners and other departments with Digital strategy and operational efforts

    • Build partnerships, supports and gathers feedback with cross-functional teams including Compliance Audit and Cybersecurity to ensure Cyber Risk Exceptions are managed and mitigated based on defined processes

    • Create talent and growth strategy programs for Digital in partnership with TDOC and HR Business partners

    • Execute, lead and implement effective strategic program support for the Digital organization

    • Drive the development and sustainment of change management and organizational readiness strategies, plans and activities that drive organizational transformation, maximize employee adoption, and minimize risk and resistance

    • Provide and drive frameworks and guidance to the Digital leadership team and organization on all matters related to governance, compliance, risk and regulatory.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of release management Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

    • Significant knowledge of business processes for supported business groups

    • Knowledge of digital technology methodologies, policies, standards and best practices

    • Knowledge of best practices in technology governance and regulatory landscape

    • Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions, policies and procedures

    • Significant experience in a large and complex business environment

    • Communicates quickly, clearly, concisely, appropriately and intelligently

    • Ability to understand opportunities from a business, analytical and technical lens

    Experience and Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field or additional equivalent experience and/or advanced certifications required
      • Greater than 10 years of experience including regulatory and compliance support, change management communications and/or knowledge management required

      • 5+ years of leadership experience required
