RESPONSIBILITIES
About this role
The Global IAM Engineer III is responsible for design, development and support of IAM solutions for the following; end user provisioning, authentication management and privilege access management. This role will be expected to make daily operational decisions with limited guidance from leadership and other engineers. The Engineer III is expected to work independently and act as a Subject Matter Expert or mentor to lower tiers of engineering. Day-to-day operations will involve Single-Sign On product support and maintenance, Multi-Factor Authentication product support and maintenance, Identity Access management development commonly in Java and PowerShell, Credential and Access Management product support and maintenance commonly in GUI with some PowerShell scripting. Advanced understanding of custom API connections will be expected in solution oriented discussions. Additional daily responsibilities will involve ticket queue management and SLA adherence, routine on-call rotations for after-hours support. Daily interaction with customers and leadership will require excellence in communication skills, both verbal and written.
Job Duties
Conduct meetings to gather information for business requirements
Design, develop and improve existing IAM processes
Grant and maintain data integrity for all internal and external applications
Provide knowledge and assistance in the handling of routine and ad hoc report requests
Identify and understand mission critical and compliance sensitive applications, for support or monitoring by the Global IAM team
Interact with business units and ensure that a high level of customer service is maintained
Be available and accessible for after-hours support
Maintain Subject Matter Expert level knowledge in areas of responsibility through a combination of formal and informal (personal time) training
Act as a mentor to other engineers
Write technical documentation and design diagrams
Design architectural diagrams and be capable of speaking in a technical review board
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Skills
Advanced knowledge of Identity and Access Provisioning and/or Security best practices and principles is required
Advanced knowledge in Infrastructure design and management
Advanced understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and processes
Advanced understanding of technology infrastructure, security concepts and platforms
Basic knowledge of the OSI model and security that is associated with each layer
Advanced understanding of application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL, and DNS
Knowledge of IT security processes and controls as well as IT infrastructure and networking technical knowledge
Advanced knowledge of Identity Management
Advanced knowledge of Access Management
Understanding of cloud platforms
Strong customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented with good analytical skills
Ability to work and make decisions both independently and in a team environment
SQL experience is desired but not required
Java experience is preferred
Powershell experience is preferred
Active Directory knowledge is preferred
PAM experience required using credential management, sessions management tools is desired
Experience and Education
4-6 years of experience within Information Technology or Cybersecurity required
2-4 years of experience within Identity and Access Management role required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
