    About the role

    Join our fin-tech culture within a Blue-Chip company where we are changing the way we use technology to support our customer and business. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program/Portfolio Manager to join our IT Delivery Practice. As a Technical Program/Portfolio Manager, you will play a critical role in planning and supporting strategic technology initiatives. Your expertise in program/portfolio management, development practices, infrastructure modernization, and financial services combined with a sound set of technical skills will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of complex projects and initiatives.     What makes you the ideal leader?

    • Communicating up and down the stack -interacting with executives, engineers and architects, business groups and shared services

    • Leading the planning and structuring for tech efforts to streamline capabilities and tools needed to support the business in delivering value

    • Support the assessment of project scope and prioritization across technology capabilities to drive modernization activities

    • Build and develop effective relationships with different IT and product teams to find opportunities for increase business value while modernizing our technology solutions

    • Create effective portfolio processes and think out of the box to deliver value quickly while managing costs strategically

    • Document and conduct presentations for technical, business and leadership audiences to promote portfolio strategy and communicate progress

    • Support the CTO Delivery group in planning initiatives across goals, KRs, KPIs etc. as it relates to portfolio goals

    • Assist with change management activities for the team and beyond

    • Champion the financials of assigned programs/projects, yearly budget, and ongoing financial planning

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and driving operational efficiency within the portfolio

    QUALIFICATIONS

    What makes you a dream candidate?

    • Experience in managing technology modernization project teams using a variety of supporting technologies

    • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different levels of hierarchy

    • Strong understanding of portfolio, program, and project management practices and demonstration of essential supporting soft skills

    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project/program plans, budgets, and resources effectively

    • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive consensus and manage stakeholders at all levels

    • Ability to Identify and understand technical dependencies between initiatives

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Experience and Education

    • Experience

    • 7-10 years of experience in technology project/program/portfolio leadership roles required

    • 3-5 years of experience as a technical program management or development manager required

    • Financial services industry experience preferred

    • PMP certification preferred

    • Scrum Master Certification preferred

    • Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required

    • Associate Degree

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field or additional equivalent work or military experience preferred
