    Position summary

    ble for bringing the branded General Motors F&I products to market. This new business venture will drive brand awareness and loyalty for General Motors, integrate F&I incentives for dealers, and drive digital innovation for our customers. The Operational Excellence Specialist will serve as a consultant for all Protection business and serve as a liaison for strategic partners both within and outside the organization. They will assist in building and maintaining business processes and procedures, as well as assist with project management, and operational support functions. The Operational Excellence Specialist will contribute to driving sustainable business growth by creating and maintaining business process flows and procedures and identifying key controls to minimize operational risk, as well as ensuring organizational compliance by adhering to relevant laws, regulations, standards, and ethical guidelines set by governing bodies and stakeholders. This team member will work collaboratively with functional stakeholders and business leaders to achieve continuous improvement across all aspects of a business by optimizing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing quality to deliver maximum value and a competitive advantage.

    In this role you will:

    • Collaborate with team members to update the department's internal standard operating procedures and business processes to reflect current system functionality and team, as well as best practices and policies

    • Perform reviews of departmental process controls and identify opportunities to mitigate risks through the implementation of effective controls

    • Document and track non-compliant items/issues and assist management with remediation

    • Support internal corporate projects, change management initiatives, and process improvements at the direction of the Operational Excellence leadership

    • Assist in maintaining and updating department SharePoint pages and lists

    • Draft and seek legal approval of compliance and operational procedures and correspondence

    • Work with the enterprise to ensure all business procedures are published in systems of record and align with regulatory and audit requirements

    • Serve as a liaison between Protection and other strategic partners, both internal and external, to maintain strong relationships and hold accountable to goals and KPIs

    • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled

    • Advise on how to streamline and improve existing processes

    • Perform ad hoc audits and/or files as needed to investigate/identify trends

    • Maintain processes, procedures, and tools and ensure information is current and in line with enterprise standards

    QUALIFICATIONS

    What makes you a dream candidate?

    • Knowledge and understanding of GMF and GM lending operations

    • Knowledge of business processes, operations, and systems

    • Knowledge of automation assessment, lifecycle methodologies and documentation best practices

    • Experience with various automation and productivity tools

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Office365, Power BI, and SharePoint

    • Familiarity with Nintex Process Manager software is preferred

    Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
      • 2+ years of experience in a role utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles to positively impact organizational efficiency required

      • 2+ years of experience in the Automotive Finance Industry preferred

      • 2+ years of experience supporting projects in an Agile environment preferred

      • 1+ years of experience in technical writing preferred

      • 1+ years of F&I product experience preferred

    Licenses

    SAFe Agile Certification preferred
