NSIBILITIES**
About the role:
The Privacy Engineer will act as a subject matter expert in support of the Privacy Office. The person in this role will support the Privacy Office's function of maintaining and maturing the organization's privacy program to include the support of program framework, and policies and standards, with a focus on ad tech. This role is technical and requires managing multiple, concurrent project and task assignments, placing proper priorities on tasks and attention to detail to follow through all assignments to completion. This role reports to the Lead Privacy Engineer.
In this role you will:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, marketing, legal, cybersecurity, data governance and privacy teams to implement privacy best practices in projects and decisions, and ensure solutions include necessary privacy components
Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy engineering and communicate privacy solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Develop privacy controls and features, including policies and standard, as required by privacy laws and regulations
Influence overall strategy related to marketing and ad tech solutions, including use of privacy-enhancing technologies, and cookie management and compliance
Manage multiple privacy projects simultaneously with urgency
Conduct operational deep dives on privacy-related processes and systems autonomously and engineer scalable solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you a dream candidate:
Familiarity with global privacy laws and regulations (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, Law 25, LGPD, GDPR, GLBA) and how technical implementations map to them
Familiarity with data governance principles
A strong technical background is needed
Experience with OneTrust or BigID a plus
Experience with various data engineering techniques to anonymize and pseudonymize data such as hashing, tokenization, suppression, generalization
Demonstrated experience with privacy-related technology solutions in a security or technically-relevant role, including marketing and ad tech
Ability to translate technical, legal, and regulatory requirements into engineering and operational execution
Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills
Ownership mentality, adept at managing competing priorities, anticipating issues, and proactively driving resolution
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field and/or equivalent work experience required
2+ years handling a combination of privacy and technology matters (e.g., privacy engineering, marketing ad tech compliance) required
Licenses
CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT privacy certification preferred

Compensation: Competitive pay and bonus eligibility

The base salary for this role is $61,000 to $116,000.

This role is eligible to participate in performance-based incentive plans. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
