    Position summary

    architecting solutions, building reports, monitoring and analyzing results, and communicating information to Operations, Data Engineering, IT and Analytics leadership.

    About the role

    • Building various weekly dashboards and reports to analyze/monitor business metrics

    • Use multiple data sources and tools to identify, interpret and communicate customer behavior and provide insight that drives performance and efficiency

    • Perform ad hoc analysis for the team and identify factors to improve customer satisfaction & retention

    • Conduct various types of analyses to enhance process efficiency and provide actionable recommendations to key stakeholders

    • Assist in data management, governance, attribution rules, and data quality with other functional data owners to ensure data integrity across different departments

    • Build predictive models to support decision making

    • Build monthly forecasts of key metrics

    • Help design A/B and multivariate tests, communicate results and provide recommendations

    • Build strong relationships with key cross-org stakeholders to help build a cohesive approach to growth target

    • Analyze data to improve financial performance and operational costs

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    What makes you a dream candidate?

    • Advanced knowledge data analysis, predictive modeling and forecasting techniques

    • Experience with statistical analysis and statistical software packages (e.g., Python, R, etc.)

    • Advanced skills with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker

    • Demonstrated understanding and experience with conducting A/B tests

    • Demonstrated understanding of technical systems

    • Ability to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries and deliver business insights

    • Ability to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various technical and business issues

    • Ability to translate broad marketing goals into technical/analytical applications

    • Ability to work with internal and external partners and the ability to work directly with senior level management

    • Advanced and demonstrated quantitative skills and ability to apply complex financial and statistical principles

    • Detail oriented with strong statistical skills, excellent prioritization, time management, organization and follow-up skills

    • Excellent problem solving skills with strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling and data schemas

    • Must be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervision

    • Must have an advanced understanding and mentorship abilities of Structured Query Language (SQL)

    • Must have an advanced understanding of the data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL)

    • Ability to prioritize work for self and others, and ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar quantitative field required; Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar quantitative field preferred

    • 5+ years data analysis, project management and presentation skills required

    • 2+ years SAS/SQL/Python experience required

    • 2+ years Predictive Analytics Skills preferred

    The base salary for this role is $73,500 to $147,000.

    At GM Financial, we strive for transparency and in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience and education.

    This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
