    Position summary

    he role**
    The Senior Compliance Analyst is responsible for proactively and independently recognizing and assessing compliance risk and addressing non-compliant areas for purposes of maintaining and improving operational performance and compliance. This analyst is responsible for assessing GM Financial's policies, Federal regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal controls by analyzing data and documentation or by monitoring team member phone calls.

    In this role you will:

    • Perform complex analysis by reviewing data, documentation, or monitoring team member calls across multiple business units

    • Identify and address areas of non-compliance impacting financial reporting or consumer financial protection laws; make recommendations to close compliance gaps

    • Establish and execute query criteria for compliance analysis and reporting

    • Lead or assist with month-end compliance reporting processes

    • Provide training and guidance to less-experienced analysts to build cross-functional knowledge

    • Assist in managing compliance monitoring change tickets for timely implementation

    • Foster change and commitment within the department through effective communication and procedures

    • Act as department lead in absence of management

    • Assist with development of presentations for leadership

    • Conduct monthly audits to ensure adherence to company policy and compliance standards

    • Attend workshops and complete training to stay current on industry changes impacting compliance reporting

    QUALIFICATIONS

    What makes you a dream candidate?

    • Extensive knowledge of consumer finance industry and compliance program development

    • Strong understanding of Federal Consumer Financial Protection laws and GM Financial policies

    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, Visual Basic)

    • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to influence through collaboration

    • Experience in data analysis and spreadsheet modeling

    Experience:

    • 3-5 years in finance/regulated industry or compliance-related field (required)

    • High School Diploma (required)

    • Associate Degree (preferred)

    • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

    • Master's Degree (optional)
