RESPONSIBILITIES
About the role
The Systems & Projects Compliance Senior ("Sr") Analyst is responsible for supporting projects and testing activities to ensure that the organization is in compliance with state and federal consumer compliance regulations and requirements. This Sr. Analyst is responsible for supporting all phases of projects from concept to post implementation review. This analyst must also work well with all project stakeholders to properly communicate compliance initiatives and any associated urgency. This analyst must have the ability to effectively query and represent data needs for all Compliance Management System testing and support efforts.
In this role you will:
Serve as Compliance department central point of contact for all business projects. Work with PMO and business partners in providing compliance/regulatory requirements, and as required, compliance lead for projects including development, requirements gathering, coordinating testing, training, and implementation
Identify areas of high risk within GMF's Origination and Servicing processes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Support all Compliance departments in terms of research and identifying areas of risk within the organization
Work effectively with all levels of management to ensure successful implementation of compliance initiatives and to ensure that other projects do not negatively impact compliance requirement
Conduct and/or participate in meetings with different teams throughout the organization to develop a solid understanding of upcoming and ongoing projects and the associated impact to consumer compliance to state and federal regulations
Develop effective relationships with other departments to better understand their operations, strategies, and service expectations as they pertain to the organization and specifically compliance
Maintain an understanding of applicable products, business systems and industry requirements
Coordinate, document, track and report project progress, deliverables and timeline management
Work directly with the GMF Legal department to evaluate GMF exposure and identify alternative solutions for business and system processes
Maintain a strong focus to timelines, deadlines, time management to effectively meet due date imposed internally and by regulators
QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you an ideal candidate?
Working knowledge of GMF Business system
Working knowledge of consumer regulatory auto finance industry and/or banking including federally focused laws such as ECOA, Fair Lending, FCRA, FDCPA, SCRA, EFTA, OFAC, etc.
Solid understanding of GM Financial policies and procedures for lease and retail, US and Canada
Data mining and database query experience a plus
Knowledge of the Archer GRC tool a plus
Microsoft Office, PowerBI, SQL, and other data mining approaches
Project Management, including project management lifecycle (waterfall and agile approaches), software and reporting tools
Education & Experience
5+ years' experience in project management, financial services, compliance, and/or audit required
1-3 years supervisory experience preferred
