RESPONSIBILITIES
About the Role:
Gather customer requirements to provide innovative solutions and recommend system, product and process enhancements
Provide applications second-tier support for systems issue resolution
Implement business software and provide systems administration set-up and configuration
Provide documentation of business rules, functional specifications, and process interpretation for assigned applications, systems, and business solutions
Assist with the creation, documentation, and execution of test scripts for supported systems and research and implement solutions
Monitor scheduled application interface and provide issue resolution and After-hours support
Provide assistance in the creation of production, ad-hoc reporting, and interface solutions to query needs of the business
Communicate with management, business partners, software vendors, and suppliers on business systems, project status, and project planning
Coordinate with program development teams on software interfaces used by supported business applications
Provide direction to and mentor fellow team members
QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups
Knowledge of business processes for supported business groups
Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions
Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices
Working knowledge of the Corporate Business solution environment
Strong in the use of Microsoft Office software including strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes
Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives
Deadline oriented
Good computer skills and convergence in information technology issues
Must be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervision
Strong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customers
Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime or split shifts may be required
Limited travel may be required to support business needs
Experience
4-6 years of support, analysis and implementation experience in an IT environment or related business area preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience Required
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field Preferred
