The primary goal of the Balance Foundation is to deliver fundamental and robust services and controls, enabling product teams to build reliable and compliant products. The shared foundation ensures banking, issuing, Capital and Payments can interoperate well with each other, and function together with a unified and consistent client experience.
This group develops core services and frameworks for storing money and processing money moving transactions for financial products. It builds the foundation for the common aspects of all transactional flows, including balance control, storage, ledgering, and end to end reconciliation. In addition, this group also offers internal functionalities to manage the cash required for transactions. This includes enabling internal teams to automatically or manually move cash between accounts for liquidity, trade currencies as needed, and create cash management models to forecast liquidity capacity.
The role is based out of Amsterdam and sits within our Financial Products solution which is responsible for all financial products we offer to our customers. Whether we work with large partner platforms, medium sized local merchants, or major international enterprise businesses, our products need to meet our clients expectations and seamlessly fit into their systems.
What you'll do
Lead the product teams that are responsible for building the core of our banking infrastructure which includes ledgering, transaction flows and balances.
Set the vision to how we should scale our banking infrastructure, its balance accounts (APIs, account lifecycle and balances), how we build out our robust, reliable and consistent transaction flows, FX capabilities and cash management tooling.
Work closely with your product teams to prioritise between the needs from different stakeholders, especially with our treasury department.
Ensure we are compliant with local regulations and payment system rules at all times.
Work closely together with our commercial teams to enable them to sell and explain the USPs of our banking infrastructure, accounts, transaction flows and fx capabilities.
Actively engage with customers to ensure they can get the true value out of our product and understand their future product needs;
You will multiply your impact by guiding and growing the team working directly or indirectly on our offering.
