    Position summary

    with our centralized team in Amsterdam. This opportunity contributes to the global expansion of the Merchant Finance & Treasury team in order to ensure we meet client-, regulatory- and business needs effectively across the globe. Our internal capabilities must be excellent to deliver on Adyens ambition. The Merchant Finance and Treasury team is dedicated to ensuring our customers are paid correctly, on time, and in the right currency. As we expand globally we are committed to operational excellence, innovation, and integrity.

    The expansion into the region is driven by multiple factors: an evolving merchant base, client expectations (i.e. payout reliability and speed), leveraging our US banking license (i.e. offering financial services and regulatory obligations), macroeconomic developments and changing industry standards. The challenge in this role lies in managing daily financial processes from a new timezone, focusing on customer-centric growth and automation for Adyen's critical payout services. The ideal candidate will independently seek scalable processes and optimizations, handle operational issues efficiently, by maintaining a high-level strategic view while being detail-oriented when necessary.

    What you'll do:

    • Liquidity Management: ensure liquidity availability and understand the trends in the market that could affect Adyen's Latam positions
    • Central Bank relationship management: responsible for managing and maintaining the institution's relationship with the central bank, with the focus on Treasury topics, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, facilitating communication, and optimizing interactions with the central bank
    • Innovation and Integrity: Promote innovation and uphold the highest standards of integrity in all financial operations in the region
    • Provide best CoF for local advancements solution in Brazil: Define and conduct funding strategy (Risk transfer, Reduce CoF, Operational Scalability, Mkt Resilience)
    • Relationship management with bank providers: For Funding and Payout solutions, ensuring contract negotiation, adjusting moneyflow and operational flows
    • Strategic Partner: Act as a strategic sparring partner for commercial and regulatory stakeholders on merchant finance and treasury topics, focusing on the Latam region

    Assist and guide on the below topics:

    • Monitoring: Oversee the daily financial payout processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, customer centricity in Latin America
    • Incident Management: Handle any issues related to payouts promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
    • Feedback Loop: Provide valuable insights and feedback to the Amsterdam team to help scale, optimize and automate financial processes.
    • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with BR and MEX payouts to ensure operational excellence and regional compliance requirements
    • Reconciliation: ensure internal reconciliations happen accordingly

    Who you are:

    • Proven experience as a Treasury Analyst/Manager, preferably within finance or treasury functions
    • Strong understanding of accounting and technical systems in relation to payout processes
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with Latam financial systems and automation tools is a plus
    • Strategic thinker with a focus on operational excellence and customer-centricity
