    Internship Overview:

    Get an insider view of the fast-changing grocery retail industry while developing relevant business, technical and leadership skills geared towards enhancing your career. This paid Internship experience is an opportunity to help drive business results in an environment designed to promote and reward diversity, innovation and leadership. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program.

    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from May 26, 2026, through August 14, 2026.     Department/Position Description:

    This position reports to the Manager of Data Driven Optimization within the Channel Development (strategy) function of the Fulfillment Strategy and Solutions Team (FS&S) at ADUSA. This team empowers the great local brands of ADUSA to achieve best-in-class performance in their e-commerce fulfillment operations. Specialized teams within FS&S include Network Strategy and S&OP, Channel Development, Last Mile Solutions, and Implementation & Integration.

    This specialized internship within our Fulfillment Strategy and Solutions team will provide a unique opportunity to learn about our current and future-state e-commerce fulfillment operating models. You will gain experience utilizing industry leading simulation tools to validate potential business outcomes and assist in developing recommendations for improvement through experimentation. Our goal is to provide interns with opportunities to connect with each team within FS&S to form a comprehensive understanding of fulfillment operations, strategy, and support while also making meaningful contributions to the teams' work.

    Qualifications:

    • Working towards a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or similar

    • Familiarity with object-oriented programming (esp. Python and/or Java) as well as SQL

    • Interest in the grocery sector, business process modeling, industrial engineering, operations research, and e-commerce fulfillment

    • Familiarity with Data Visualization and Data Handling tools and concepts

    • Aptitude for breaking down large tasks into smaller components and planning work in a logical way

    • Willingness to work with new tools and subject matter that is unfamiliar

    • Ability to communicate complex or technical concepts to non-technical team members

    • Most of all - excitement to take on complex challenges, collaborate with a diverse team, and dive into the details

    IL/MA/MD Salary Range: $20.00 - $34.20
