ilitates IT and business alignment. You will drive the definition and delivery of the vision, standards and policies that govern the discipline in partnership with the Architecture Leadership to ensure a uniformity of architectural artifacts.
In this process focused role, you will craft roadmaps, establish policy to support internal processes, compliance requirements, and governance workflows. Your scope will include refining processes to ensure consistency across all architecture output, engagement, and process. This role will also facilitate incremental improvement of how Architecture manages our work - refining templates, Architecture tools, a focus on data quality, reviewing standard, exceptions, and gaps in strategy are all examples of ways to achieve incremental improvement. A strong security mindset will be essential to ensure that all architectural decisions and implementations prioritize protecting our data and systems.
Working with others and being persuasive will be key. You will work closely with Architecture Leads and IT leadership. In the end, the role calls for a blend of technical expertise and process leadership and strategic creativity with a security head and a desire to make architecture a valued and valuable partner in delivering on the business and technology goals of ADUSA.
Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations are Salisbury, NC; Mauldin, SC; Chicago, IL; Quincy, MA.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Enterprise Architect I is responsible for designing and delivering architecture solutions within the technology platforms. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and behavioral skills, such as effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making. The individual will also have accountability for ensuring solutions comply with security and regulatory requirements.
Enterprise Process Architects are specialists within our Technology Enablement Platform, focusing on technology-driven Enablement practices. As domain experts, they develop standards, patterns, and decision frameworks that guide architectural and engineering practices. Their primary mission is to equip the architecture and engineering community with deep technical expertise, establish technical standards, and ensure the organization builds resilient, stable, predictable, and scalable solutions that support and enhance operational excellence.
Leadership:
Lead small architecture projects or sub-teams, providing guidance and direction to junior team members.
Influence the architecture community by actively participating in and contributing to discussions on best practices and innovative solutions.
IT Solution Architecture:
Design and oversee the development of scalable and future-proof IT solutions that deliver on business objectives.
Ensure that all solutions comply with vendor guidelines, license efficiency, and enterprise standards.
IT Architecture Target State and Roadmap:
Contribute to defining the architecture target state for a specific business or technology process and ensure it aligns with broader enterprise architecture.
Collaborate with architects and business units to ensure the IT roadmap aligns with business needs and global standards.
Reference Architectures, Models, Standards, and Patterns
Define and Maintain Standards: Develop and maintain architecture standards, reference models, guidelines, and patterns relevant to your area of responsibility. Collaborate with the architecture governance team to ensure these standards remain current and aligned with organizational needs.
Decision Frameworks: Create decision frameworks, including use cases and decision trees, to guide the selection of appropriate patterns and standards across various scenarios.
Implementation Guides: Develop comprehensive implementation guides or detailed user manuals to instruct the architecture community on the correct application of standards and patterns. These guides-sometimes referred to as "how-to" or "survival guides"-serve as practical resources to support solution design and implementation.
Risk, Compliance, Security:
Ensure that solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements through robust architectural governance.
Proactively assess risks and ensure that architecture designs mitigate them effectively.
Innovation:
Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and integrate them into the IT roadmap.
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience in IT architecture leadership, strategy development, and governance.
Strong influence and decision-making skills with proven success in guiding complex IT transformations.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related fields; advanced certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL) are preferred.
Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance and leadership to development teams.
Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into architectural deliverables and technical specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
MSc Computer Science/Information Management, Post graduate degree is preferred.

Salary Range: $136,160 - $204,240
