Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Chicago, IL, and Quincy, MA.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the development and deployment of complex analytics projects for the Digital teams and other banner business partners -- this includes Test & Learn, Segmentation, and Predictive Models
Act as development lead for the team's forecasting models. This includes time-series modeling for fulfillment, demand planning, and food waste
Provide business partners with recommendations based upon modeling results
Participate in maintenance and improvement of customer scoring algorithms to the customer database vendor
Develop self-service analytical tools when appropriate
Educate banner Loyalty and Marketing teams and other end users about the self-service tools you develop
The person in this position should be proficient in various analytical tools/methods/knowledge (Inc. Tools such as SQL, R, Python etc.); Methods/Knowledge such as test-control/experimental design, regression (Inc. multivariate), data modeling techniques, cluster, and factor analysis, etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field
6+ years of experience in a data scientist role or a Master's Degree
5+ years deploying production level models
3+ years building forecasting models in either Operations or Demand Forecasting domains
Ability to lead a data science project and break projects down into more digestible chunks
Time-series modeling
Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL
Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle and Agile project management
Machine Learning Engineering best practices
Optimization Methods
Mentor more Junior level Data Scientists
Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree or PHD
Familiarity with Demand Planning modeling, customer segmentation, or experience with Data Science methods within Marketing a plus

Salary Range: $115,760.00 | $144,700.00 | $173,640.00
