    Role Overview

    The Director - Talent Acquisition (India) will own and lead Alight's end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for India, supporting business growth, global delivery, and long-term capability building. This role is accountable for developing scalable hiring strategies, leading high-performing TA teams, and partnering closely with senior business and HR leaders to deliver critical talent across all hiring segments.

    This is a senior leadership role requiring a strategic, hands-on talent leader with deep experience navigating complex, high-volume and niche hiring within large, global organizations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Talent Acquisition Strategy & Delivery

    • Define and execute a comprehensive India talent acquisition strategy aligned to Alight's business priorities, growth plans, and global workforce strategy.

    • Translate workforce plans into actionable hiring roadmaps across functions, locations, and talent segments.

    • Lead hiring for a broad range of roles including professional, leadership, specialist, and hard-to-fill/niche positions.

    • Continuously assess external talent market trends to inform proactive hiring and workforce decisions.

    Stakeholder & Business Partnership

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and HR leaders on talent strategy, market intelligence, and hiring effectiveness.

    • Build strong governance and operating rhythms with hiring managers to ensure clarity, speed, and accountability.

    • Influence and align stakeholders in a matrixed, global environment.

    Team Leadership & Capability Building

    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing India Talent Acquisition team.

    • Build strong functional capabilities across sourcing, assessment, candidate engagement, and stakeholder management.

    • Drive a culture of performance excellence, inclusion, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.

    Employer Brand & Candidate Experience

    • Strengthen Alight's employer brand in the Indian market through targeted employer branding, campus and lateral hiring initiatives, social media, referrals, and partnerships.

    • Ensure a consistent, inclusive, and differentiated candidate experience across all touchpoints.

    • Act as a steward of Alight's values throughout the hiring lifecycle.

    Process Excellence, Analytics & Governance

    • Drive efficiency, scalability, and quality across TA processes, systems, and vendor partnerships.

    • Leverage data and analytics to track and improve key metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-to-hire, quality-of-hire, and offer-to-join ratios.

    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, labor laws, and global hiring standards.

    Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

    • Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into all hiring strategies and practices.

    • Partner with HR and business leaders to build diverse talent pipelines and deliver inclusive hiring outcomes.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree required

    • MBA or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or Business preferred

    Experience

    • Minimum 18+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment in leadership role or as Leader in TA

    • Demonstrated experience leading TA for large, global organizations

    • Proven success scaling hiring operations and leading distributed recruitment teams in India

    • Experience supporting high-growth, fast-paced environments

    • Executive-level stakeholder management and influencing skills

    • Data-driven mindset with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement

    • Strong people leadership, communication, and change management capabilities
