Accountabilities:
Interpreting insurance policy wording, determine policy coverage's
Setting up appointments with the insureds
Provide customer service experience for policyholders and prompt and equitable settlement. Explain claim process to insureds
Investigate, interpret and confirm coverage issues
Appraisal and adjustment of complex property claims. Evaluate, negotiate and make final settlement
Work in collaboration with assigned contractors
Complete replacement cost on contents and the evaluation of building damages
Qualifications:
4+ years' experience as a property claims adjuster
Excellent knowledge of building construction, the insurance processes and the insurance industry and legislation
Experience in settling complex property claims
Knowledge and ability to work with programmes such as Guidewire and Xactimate
Must have a valid driver's license
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Proficient keyboard skills and computer literacy, word and Excel
Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate with others to reach goals
Highly motivated and able to work well independently
Enrollment or willingness to enroll in Insurance Institute courses
