Postgresql DBA

lls/creates low complexity database based on established documented procedures

• Assists and in some cases lead root-cause analysis on minor incidents; participate with DBMS vendors and others to determine causes and solutions for database problems/issues

• Installs client tools and drivers based on established documented procedures; assist with installing and maintaining database tools/utilities to support the DBMS environment

• Performs basic DDL implementation, such as creating tables, indexes, schemas, and setting up security; perform basic database maintenance services for application development teams

• Able to convert logical data models into physical data models for basic application databases utilizing modeling tool

• Assists senior DBAs working with application areas to collect application requirements including data, volumetric, access paths, and infrastructure requirements such as backup and recovery; assists with recovery/roll-back as directed for low to medium complex applications

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

*5 or more years of experience (Preferred)
