Property Field Adjuster - National General

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Property Field Adjuster to join our amazing team. Ideal candidate is located in the Southern Chicago, IL area or Gary***, Indiana.** The ideal candidate will have strong conflict management skills and proficiency in Xactimate. In this role, you will handle moderate residential and some condo claims through both on-site field inspections and virtual assessments from home. Key Responsibilities

• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on the most complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities

• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers

• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices

• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files

• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training

• Recommends process improvements

Territory

• Hybrid territory. This is a WFH position which will have a field territory centered in southern Chicago. This adjuster will also be responsible for assisting in desk handled claims from across the country as needed.

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

• Proficiency in Xactimate or related estimating system.

• Proficiency in written communications.

• Previous construction experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is $76,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role
