    The objective of the Operations Emerging Talent Rotational Program is to develop leadership skills and attributes with a blend of technical knowledge, business acumen and soft skills, so that you are ready to make a positive impact and use your talents to accomplish more than you thought possible. While being self-motivated is a key, Amgen provides a robust system to help make you successful. Selected candidates will work under minimal supervision and receive a solid mentor, coach, and buddy support system to guide you throughout the program.

    Operations Emerging Talent Rotational Program Facts

    We have open positions based in Thousand Oaks, California. Amgen's headquarters in Thousand Oaks is a comprehensive hub for administration, laboratories, utilities, and both commercial and clinical manufacturing, serving as the home base for senior leadership and corporate functions, with significant capabilities in manufacturing and research & development. The cohort kicks off in July 2026, candidates must be available for full-time employment in July 2026. The 26-month Rotational Program consists of one 10-month and two 8-month rotations in Operations.

    You will rotate through various critical functions at the site, such as Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations Transformation and Digital Strategy.

    After successful completion of the program, we expect that you will be well-prepared to succeed in future roles and take on leadership challenges in our Operations organization.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or other relevant disciplines obtained from an accredited college or university by the time program kicks-off in July 2026

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proven leadership skills, demonstrated through extra-curricular or work experience activities
    • Previous Amgen or relevant industry experience in biopharma, manufacturing, or engineering environment
    • Minimum GPA of 3.20 preferred
    • Strong technical and analytical skills
    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across teams and levels of management
    • Excellent time and project management skills
    • Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach to achieving success
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices
    • Global mentality: willingness to relocate to other Operations Sites for future career opportunities
    • Willingness to work shifts including weekends

    The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
