    Business Analyst - Development & Precision Medicine

    What you will do

In this vital role you will support the Development & Precision Medicine team by providing critical business insights, operational analysis, and project coordination. This role is responsible for enabling data-driven decision-making, improving transparency across the portfolio, and supporting the adoption of modern technology and Agile practices across clinical and precision medicine programs.

    You will work closely with the Associate Director and cross-functional stakeholders to align operational initiatives with strategic goals, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimize resource and portfolio planning. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, superb communication skills, and an understanding of clinical research processes and technology enablement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program & Portfolio Support

    • Analyze and monitor clinical development program metrics, resource utilization, and timelines.

    • Support creation and maintenance of dashboards, risk registers, and portfolio reports.

    • Assist in the preparation of materials for governance committees and senior leadership updates.

    Technology & Workforce Enablement

    • Contribute to the implementation and tracking of technology and workforce transition plans.

    • Assist in onboarding, training logistics, and productivity tracking across program teams.

    • Help develop technology roadmap insights, highlighting gaps, risks, and dependencies.

    Agile and SAFe Adoption

    • Support Agile Release Train (ART) planning and execution by coordinating inputs and tracking deliverables.

    • Maintain SAFe-related documentation (e.g., team backlogs, PI planning artifacts).

    • Collaborate with the Agile teams to collect feedback and support continuous improvement.

    Business Analysis & Insights

    • Perform data mining and analytics using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to deliver actionable insights.

    • Conduct benchmarking and scenario analysis to evaluate process improvements and investment decisions.

    • Assist in the development of business cases for precision medicine initiatives and digital innovation.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Doctorate degree

    OR

    Master's degree and 2 years of Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or Information Systems experience

    Or

    Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or Information Systems experience

    Or

    Associate's degree and 8 years of Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or Information Systems experience

    Or

    High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or Information Systems experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or clinical research environment

    • Familiarity with clinical trial lifecycle, biomarker strategies, or precision medicine concepts

    • Exposure to Agile methodologies or SAFe framework

    • Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations

    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

    • High learning agility and comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

    The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
