    Position summary

    roader Reliability efforts. The intern will work on analyzing data from compressors, pumps and assembly systems to gain actionable insights into equipment health and performance. By applying advanced machine learning techniques and building visualization dashboards, the intern will help drive predictive maintenance strategies, detect anomalies early, and ultimately improve the reliability and efficiency of production systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collect, preprocess, and analyze system data, including vibration, temperature, and force/load measurements.

    • Understand the underlying system and machine behavior to interpret datasets effectively.

    • Propose suitable machine learning models, with emphasis on anomaly detection and probabilistic models.

    • Develop, train, and validate machine learning models for predictive maintenance and fault detection.

    • Build production-level Python code for deploying models in real-world settings.

    • Build and implement dashboards for monitoring sensor data and model outputs using Grafana.

    • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to align results with production needs.

    We're looking for students with a passion for learning and a strong motivation to support our mission to serve patients. To succeed in this role, you should have:

    Requirements

    • Education: Currently pursuing or completed MSc/BSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (with relevant experience in systems, sensors, and data analysis).
    • Programming: Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, etc.).
    • Machine Learning: Knowledge of anomaly detection methods, probabilistic models, and practical model deployment.
    • Data Visualization: Experience with Grafana for building dashboards and visualizing time-series data.
    • Systems Knowledge: Ability to interpret physical machine behavior through sensor data (e.g., pumps, compressors, assembly systems).
    • Software Engineering & DevOps:
      • Strong experience in writing clean, production-level code.

      • Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development.

      • Familiarity with DevOps practices for deployment, monitoring, and scalability.

    Desired Skills (Nice to Have)

    • Experience in predictive maintenance applications or similar industrial data use cases.

    • Previous work in building real-time dashboards or integrating with IoT platforms.

    • Knowledge of AVEVA PI System.
