    Position summary

    Embed and operationalize a best-in-class launch excellence framework across Amgen Japan to ensure disciplined launch readiness and execution quality.

    Strategic Advisory & Assessment

    • Conduct structured analysis to strengthen launch strategy and execution planning

    • Evaluate recent and upcoming launches to identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas

    • Provide actionable recommendations to brand and cross-functional teams

    Launch Governance & Performance Visibility

    • Support development of launch KPIs, readiness scorecards, and tracking mechanisms

    • Design and maintain a unified Launch Excellence dashboard consolidating milestones, timelines, risks, and overall status

    • Enhance enterprise-wide transparency and alignment across all launches

    Execution Quality & Readiness

    • Promote consistent launch standards and best practices

    • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration to improve speed and quality of launch execution

    2. Marketing Excellence & Capability Development (40%)

    Strengthen marketing capabilities and embed consistent brand management practices across the organization.

    Capability Assessment & Prioritization

    • Conduct structured marketing capability assessments using data, interviews, and evaluation tools

    • Identify skill gaps and define targeted development priorities

    Brand Management Deployment

    • Support localization and rollout of the Amgen Brand Management curriculum

    • Help marketers translate global frameworks into practical, Japan-relevant actions

    • Onboard new marketers to ensure consistency in understanding and ways of working

    • Co-facilitate training sessions with global and local stakeholders

    Training & Knowledge Enablement

    • Design and deliver workshops on brand strategy, customer engagement, omni-channel execution, and analytics

    • Track training participation, satisfaction, and adoption metrics

    • Continuously improve programs based on measurable outcomes

    Playbooks, Tools & Engagement Platforms

    • Localize and manage global marketing guides and toolkits

    • Plan and run Monthly Marketing Engagement sessions to promote cross-brand learning

    • Develop and distribute a monthly marketer newsletter to sustain engagement and best-practice sharing

    Innovation & Test-and-Learn

    • Support pilot initiatives to explore new marketing approaches

    • Help scale proven practices across therapeutic areas

    Global-Local Alignment

    • Serve as a bridge between Japan and global teams

    • Ensure alignment of priorities while maximizing local impact

    3. Ad Hoc Company-Wide Transformation Project Support (20%)

    Provide high-impact support on priority enterprise initiatives that advance commercial excellence and organizational transformation.

    Strategic Initiative Support

    • Support company-wide transformation projects as assigned by the Transformation Office or senior leadership

    • Conduct structured analysis and prepare executive-ready materials

    • Translate strategic direction into clear action plans

    Cross-Functional Alignment & Execution

    • Partner with commercial, medical, market access, and enabling functions to ensure coordinated execution

    • Facilitate working sessions to clarify objectives, roles, and decision pathways

    • Identify risks early and recommend mitigation actions

    Governance & Accountability

    • Establish clear milestones, timelines, and accountability structures

    • Provide structured updates on progress, risks, and key decisions

    • Ensure disciplined follow-through against agreed objectives

    Qualifications

    • MBA or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field

    • 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, launch excellence, commercial excellence, or consulting

    • Demonstrated experience in both launch excellence and marketing capability building

    • Strong project management and structured problem-solving skills

    • Experience applying change management principles in cross-functional environments

    • Strong analytical capability and data-driven decision-making skills

    • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

    • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of new capabilities

    • Strong bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English
